When you have to read books for school, or reading clubs - they may not always be your absolute favorite kinds of books... And that's ok! It's very important to expose yourself and learn to read all kinds of books.

But that does not mean you can't pick favorites 😉

When it comes to reading on your own time, and cultivating your reading habit, knowing what kind of books engage you is super important!

In the video below, Cole talks about how he prefers realistic fiction to fantasy. Everyone has their own favorite stories. Making a list of books you LOVED versus books you thought were OK versus books you HATED... can help you determine what genres you should look for when it's time to read on your own!
