Summer 2025 Tutoring Program
Enrollment opens in April—register early to secure one of the limited spots available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Dates: The program will run throughout the summer, starting June 15th and session must be used by July 31st.
Who is this for?: Summer is designed for students who need extra support OR enrichment. So if your student isn’t feeling creatively challenged at school and wants to deep dive into more creative writing and reading projects this summer this is also a great fit. As always, I deliver expert level interventions for dyslexia, comprehension, attention and motivation issues through high interest reading and writing projects.
Ages: Open to students in 2nd–12th grades , however the open studio sessions (see below) are best suited for kids and teens 4th grade and up. If I have enough younger students this summer I will add some dates for them!
Here’s the sessions Summer 2025 package includes:
Five 45-Minute Tutoring Sessions: Focused time to work on reading, decoding, comprehension, and writing. These sessions can be one-on-one or I can work to match you with a partner. We can blend in person and online.
One 60-Minute Deep Dive Session: A one-on-one planning session to develop a personalized summer reading plan and map out your student’s plan for their summer writing project. I will use the data from this to implement the plan below.
Option to add more sessions at a 30% discount off of my standard rate if needed! (Great deal!)
Components to make this really work!
Learning growth happens through repetition and creating a culture of change, not just in isolated one time sessions.
Printed Book: Your child will receive a printed book (up to a $40 value) at the end of summer with their writing collection. Students that work with me in the school year can pull writing from our school year projects as well. High School students can use this for application essays instead of publishing a book.
Assigned Reading & Quiz Challenge: I will purchase one selected book and create custom online quizzes by section for your student. This challenge gives students the opportunity to win a $25 gift card from a local book store in their area for completing the summer questions + reading. I really believe that this will work to get the kids reading something challenging for them and in their interest category, which is a critical part of summer.
THREE Bonus Open Art & Writing Sessions: Three in-person sessions at my home art studio will be held this summer for students to hang out with each other and to work on art or writing for their summer books. I hope each student can attend at least one, but you are welcome to attend all four! I will choose the dates by sending a poll to families.
Partner Matching Option: For added engagement, I can match your child with a partner with similar learning needs during some or all 1-1 sessions.
Scheduling: In May parents will get a form to fill out and we will schedule everyone’s 1-1 sessions. Even if these change getting them penciled in is important. I am very flexible on time in the summer.
Value: Your child receives 5 1-1 tutoring sessions ($400), a 60-minute deep dive 1-1 session with planning for summer after the session (approximately $125), plus a printed book* of writing, summer novel to keep, a book store gift certificate and a personalized learning plan that includes gamified quizzes for their book and needs only (over $150 value) and bonus workshop session access —all in one comprehensive summer program. *High school students can alternately work on college essays.
